Update OFM Benelux Full/Light/Hiking layer, Germany, Alps, Iceland NLUUG mirror server Since this week all Openfietsmaps are also hosted on the NLUUG FTP-server. The NLUUG is the association of (professional) Open Systems and Open Standards users in the Netherlands. Thanks to Robert Alten (Surfsara) and Mike Hulsman (NLUUG) for making this possible! This was done to suit routing for racing bicycles, but since toll road avoidance is only possible in car mode (in many gps devices and the default Basecamp settings) this behaviour is inconsistent. In the latest versions car mode will also route on unpaved cycle routes, but still will avoid other unpaved sections. A new tag on OSM has been introduced on OSM to indicate that it is normally not allowed to use the road on a bicycle if there is an adjacent compulsory cycleway. This tag will be rendered and treated on OFM the same as roads with bicycle=no (explicitly forbidden roads for bicycles). |
